The Trumpet Inn has been tastefully refurbished to create space and comfort keeping the old world charm
as befitting a 17 th Century Inn that has been the centre of village life for over 400 years.
The Trumpet Inn gets its name from the mail coaches that summoned their arrival
by blowing a small trumpet the Landlord and his stable staff would be ready to greet them. Located on the ancient crossroads in Roman times,
the route between the forts of Chester and Gloucester. In the 19 th century The Gloucester to Hereford canal ran close by and the railway soon followed.
The Worcester to Hereford road runs past the front door, waiting at the traffic lights The Trumpet Inn looks most welcoming.
